The goal was a party favor worth keeping — something destined for the costume bin rather than the trash. I laser-cut wearable wings from EVA foam, then finished them off with custom iridescent bags for a little extra birthday magic. Of course there needed to be VIP versions for the birthday girl and her older brother. Hers were pink, glittery, and lined with inner foam feathers fit for a prima ballerina. His matched the guests' wings but got the feather treatment too — because big brothers deserve a little VIP status as well.

I was hired to make a take-home treat for a LEGO-themed birthday party — and as these things do, it escalated. Wearable 3D-printed LEGO hands, laser-cut crowns kids could customize with their own LEGO bricks, VIP crowns for the birthday boy and his sister, a custom #7 cake topper, and a LEGO necklace for mom. Zero junk. Built to last longer than one afternoon.

My client wanted party favors that felt a little more special for her son's superhero birthday. I sewed satin capes and ironed on glitter lightning bolt patches — with an extra special emblem for the birthday boy. Then, as a thank you for being my very first client, I surprised her with 3D-printed power wristbands complete with laser-cut sound effects words.
